Two accomplishments for the price of one

Back in September I decided to try my hand at writing a novel. I wrote about 40 pages in a 3 week span, but then life got in the way and I haven't written anything but school papers since the first week of October!! Well, yesterday I decided to pick up where I left off writing my novel!!! I have discovered that I LOVE writing and using my imagination to weave a story together!!! :D Although I didn't add more pages, I went through what I already have and did a little editing. Now I can continue on and continue weaving my story!!!

Second, I UPDATED MY BLOG!!! It has been over a year since I had posted anything and I decided that it was about time for an update!!
Two accomplishments in two days!!! Now if I could only get myself to accomplish some exercising!!! :P

Learning

Others may not feel the same way, but I feel being able to learn something about yourself is a great accomplishment. Today, I was out before the sunrise basking in the newness of the day; with the snow flocking the trees, and the water steadily dripping off the roof. The ultimate peace of the situation was outstanding! I felt a power that has been missing in my life, except brief glimpses here and there. I felt empowered and free. Then, I realized the worst thing anyone could do to me, apart from harming my family and those I care about, is to cause me to feel confined without hope of escape, like an animal in a cage.

It is certainly not the most uplifting thing to learn about one's self, but, as the scripture says, 'I give unto men their weaknesses that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them' (Ether 12:27). Furthermore, it is comforting to know 'that all these things shall give thee experience, and shall be for thy good' (D&C 122:7).

Now, I need to take this thing I learned, and learn from it even more.

I finally got out!

It's been a couple of weeks where I've just felt so dragg-y and tired, with achey muscles. Not hurt achey, but achey to be used! So today, we got the kids' school work done, slipped on our shoes and drove down to the bus park which has a trail around it. The kids battled with foam swords, ran around, and rode their scooters while I went for a long overdue RUN! It was fabulous!

And, now I know I can do it! If it's not too cold, there is a way that I can go for a run and have my kids taken care of too! Yahoo!

First Aid

I was fortunate enough today to complete my First Aid certification on-line. I feel so accomplished and responsible. :) I feel that it is good knowledge to have. However, I hope to never have to use it, unless it is absolutely necessary.
